What is the one thing every business could do to increase profits?
It is the first thing that any real marketer (Kennedy, Abrahams etc) will tell you that businesses should do to boost profits.
Customer newsletters, however, are still a rare and often apologetic attempt to engage with customers.
Frankly, most newsletters simply do not build any kind of relationship with either potential or paying customers.
Perhaps one reason for this is that there aren't too many people writing about how to create and publish your own newsletter.
Enter Michael Katz.
If you've never seen Michael's website about writing regular newsletters I strongly suggest you do so.
His archive of previous newsletters available on the site contain a myriad of lessons for us all in using engaging stories to make points relating to business.
Not all of us are so gifted at writing, perhaps, but there are a huge number of very practical guidelines that Michael gives us in his book 'E-Newsletters That Work' which can easily be followed to ensure your newsletter hits the mark.
The icing on the cake is a series of templates and at the end of the book that make it easy to produce the kind of newsletter content, whether online or offline, that will make your customers anxious to receive your next pubication!
